Joao Parada (born in Porto, Portugal) is a designer and art director, operating between Reykjavík and Porto. He holds a degree in communication design from the College of Art and Design, Matosinhos, and joined the university's design department since his graduation in 2007 until 2010. He has won the International Design Education Award in 2007, developing a campaign to highlight the harmful consequences of global warming. He was a trainer at IADE Creative University, Lisbon, and at Jornal de Notícias, Porto, a leading newspaper in Portugal. He was guest lecturer at ESAD Matosinhos, in the context of the World Graphic Day. Since 2010 he has been actively contributing to different studios. In 2016 he moved to Reykjavík, Iceland, where he lives and works as freelancer.
